Titan and Handler Constable Stewart

Firstly, thank you so very much for dropping by the Pet Wash yesterday and for doing such an awesome article on Titan.  The support that we got yesterday simply further demonstrates what a great Community this is.

Officers from the Saugeen Shores Police with some great volunteers washed over 60 dogs yesterday ranging in size from an Irish Wolf Hound and Great Dane to a long haired Dachshund and from a 14 year old senior dog to a 5 month old puppy (who was so bad!).  So thank you Lola, Daisy and Jim and all those whose names we forget (and their people for bringing them too!).

The grand total at the end of our wet 3 1/2 hours of dog washing was $2172.41.  Incredible!  A huge thank you to Taun Frosst of the Sunset Car and Pet Wash for donating the facilities to us.  Taun, thanks to you our fund raising efforts have got off to a great start.

Titan is an amazing dog and a very important member of the Saugeen Shores Police Service.  He is happiest when he's at work, whether it's hanging out snoozing in the Chief's office (it has carpet), following our civilian members around as they work (and they swear he's trying to trip them up) or when he's all business and called upon to assist us on the road.  We know that he would pay the ultimate price without hesitation in order to protect us and we thank everybody for assisting us in helping Titan.
