English 'bride' Eileen Cruickshank

The newly formed Saugeen Shores Women's Probus Club held their Christmas luncheon at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre on Tuesday (Nov. 24).

Approximately 80 women attended the event that was followed up with a buffet lunch catered by Trudy Pierson of Southampton.

Two speakers were featured prior to the luncheon - Sondra Hong, who spoke about the disease Alzheimers, and Eileen Cruickshank, who described her life as a young 'war bride/fiancee'.

The Women's Probus Club membership consists of every age and every profession ... teachers, nurses, homemakers and secretaries among many others.

The group meets at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre and each meeting features a guest speaker.
