‘A Day In The Life’ entertainment series brings the ‘People of the Bruce’ to life Sunday afternoons from
2 pm to 3 pm

What Is "A DAY IN THE LIFE" Performance? Costumed interpreters bring Bruce County’s history to life with a day in the life themed performance series featuring stories, readings and re-enactments found within the walls of the Bruce County Archives. The Port Elgin & District Lions Club is sponsoring this multi-media – multi-sensory series.
COST: General Admission applies for these performances. Bruce County Museum and Grey Roots members have FREE admission to this series.
NOTE: With the new reciprocal membership agreement with Grey Roots, all Grey Roots members can attend this performance series for free.

Evolution of Shipping

Pat Labadie will track the development of commercial crafts on the Great Lakes from the end of the border wars in 1813 to the present time, with a richly illustrated lecture. Pat will touch on the socio-economic factors and the changing technologies that drove the evolution of these vessels, and the impact of Lakes’ shipping on the development of the region.

Mr. Labadie is traveling from Michigan to present this fascinating look at marine heritage on the Great Lakes - So please come out and experience this entertaining speaker. You won't be disappointed!

GHOST WALKS - Next Friday October 23rd at 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Visit spirits of the past at the Museum. Great family fun for ages 8 yrs. and up. Tales of the unusual with little surprises along the way! An indoor and outdoor event. Members $5 and Non-members $10.

GHOULS NIGHT OUT - Next Saturday,October 24th at the Southampton Town Hall from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am.
A witches(women) only Halloween party!
Female DJ playing 'chick tunes" all night long, Karaoke, Potion Bar (cash bar- cocktails) Halloween Hors'd oeuvres catered by the Green Door Restaurant in Wiarton.
Prizes for Best Cackle, Best Dressed Witch, Best Decorated Broom, Best Dressed Group, Wickedest Make-up.

Last year this sold old Halloween themed event had women of all ages up and dancing, laughing, cackling and having an amazing evening.

The evening features a female DJ playing girl-friendly music all night long. Think “I will Survive!”, “Witchy Woman”, “Love Potion #9″, “It’s Raining Men”, “Better Put A Ring On It” etc.
Add in karaoke and 150 costumed women dressed as witches – and you will be entertained the entire night!
