Priscilla Yellowhead Toby recreates the stories of long ago The last two Traditional Feasts of the summer at Saugeen First Nations are being held this Thursday, August 7 and next Thursday August 14th at the ampitheatre park adjacent to the Saugeen United Church. |
The evening begins at 5:30 with a sumptuous feast of fresh fish,
potatoes, corn and baked bannock bread. Priscilla Yellowhead Tobey,
renowned story teller and craftswoman, prepares the traditional meal
over an open campfire and, afterwards, recounts many of the traditional
stories handed down from ancestors. |
