There will be a Remembrance Day Ceremony in Tiverton on Sunday, Nov. 8, at 11:30 a.m. at Lions Memorial Park. As well, there will be a Remembrance Day Service on Nov. 11 at 12:15 p.m. at the Cenotaph on Main Street.

Doug and Dave Convay, Kevin (Chevy) Hayes, and Greg Shipp travelled to Martinsville, Virginia, for a few days to take in the Tums 500 NASCAR race.

The ‘Younger and Much Better Looking’ card group met at the home of Lori and Greg Shipp. Doug Convay took home High Man, Chris Smith had Low Man, Kate Smith won High Lady and the self-appointed Queen of Tiverton, Heather Convay, won Low Lady.

There will be a Homecraft meeting on Nov. 9 at 1:30 at the Tiverton Library. We will be making changes to the Fall Fair book, choosing a Fair theme for 2010 and talking about any suggestions, at that time to improve our fair. Everyone is welcome.

Knox Presbyterian Church will be hosting a Homemade Soup Luncheon, Monday Nov. 9, at noon in the church activity room. Admission by goodwill offering only.

The Annual Lions Christmas Bazaar is Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre, Tiverton. Lunch available, admission is free.
