Come out to the Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in St. Andrews Park - you just may see Santa. There will be hot chocolate, carollers and some down-home Christmas cheer.

The Christmas Ladies Night Out at the Baptist Church saw a great turn-out with standing room only, great food, wonderful demonstrations and ideas shared.

The Tiverton Lions extend an invitation to all seniors (65 years of age or older) to attend their Christmas dinner on Friday, Dec. 4, at 6 p.m. at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre. This invitation goes out to those seniors living in Tiverton, Glammis, Inverhuron, as far north as North Bruce, and south to the 5th of Kincardine. If you would like to attend and do not receive a phone call by Nov. 24, please call Lion Edna at 519-368-5534, Lion Ruby at 519-353-5014 or Lion Rosemary at 519-368-7789.

Happy 60th Birthday to Bob Webster this week, and in the same household, last week was Glenda with a birthday not so big!

Also celebrating this week was Jason Convay who turned eight and Shelby Simmons who turned 18.

Knox Presbyterian Church is hosting a Cookie Walk on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. until noon in the Church School Room. Offered for sale are fancy cookies, squares, Christmas pudding and Christmas cake and candy. It’s a chance for people who don’t bake or are too busy, to get homemade treats that are fresh and delicious. For further information contact June at 519-368-7347.
