Grandpa Flak says that the little bundle of joy he has been waiting for has finally arrived. Congratulations to Sam Bonnett and Troy Elliott on the birth of their son, Jack David Elliott.

Sunday, the Tiverton novice team took the WOAA Elite Championship from the Wallace team in a 3-2 battle. The team celebrated at Crabby Joe’s in Kincardine where Ryan Thede won a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey and Lily Freiburger won a Montreal Canadiens jersey. Special thanks to Doug Kennedy for the prizes.

The ‘Younger and Much Better Looking’ card group visited the home of Mike and Vicky Quipp this weekend with Shirley Quipp taking home High Lady, Denice Kirk taking home Low Lady. For the first time ever, Kevin Kirk took home High Man and Greg Shipp left with Low Man. Special Mention goes out to Mo Freiburger and Jordan Quipp for filling in.

Happy birthday to Donald McKenzie who turned 75 this weekend. Donald and his lovely wife, Helen, reside in Kincardine.

Bob and Mynona Paige, Bev and Scott Ramage, Gerry and Linda Brooks, Debbie and Ken Catto, along with new tourists, Dave and Nancy Beamish, travelled to the sunny, hot and beautiful Huatulco (WA-TOO-CO), Mexico. The trip was great and the only little event was that Dave took a reaction to balloons but the area is Pacific perfect for a fantastic holiday.

District 10 Agricultural Society Meeting

The Kincardine and Tiverton Agricultural Societies are hosting the District 10 Meeting on April 18, at the Tiverton Community Centre. There are approximately 25 societies in this district. We expect 120 members to attend, along with their ambassadors. This year the question to be asked of every group will be "What does your society do to conserve energy at your Fair?" We have decided to go as GREEN as possible. We will be using all bio-degradeable products i.e. coffee cups, stir sticks, napkins, garbage bags, goodie bags that are handed out to all members upon registration, etc. All the garbage will be taken away to be composted. The table decorations planned are fresh flowers or twigs (forsythia, pussywillow, daffodils. etc.) Interested in becoming a member of either Agricultural Society? Phone Doreen at 519-368-7768 or Betty Jean at 519-396-3393.

Reunion Update
The Tiverton Old Boys and Girls Reunion committee is well under way with its planning but still needs more volunteers and funding to make this the best ever reunion. The fund-raising spring dance will be held April 25 with music by Video Country 93. If you are interested in contributing to the reunion in some manner, please contact Deb Cote at 519-368-6292
