This Sunday at 2 p.m., the Tiverton novice team faces off against the Wallace team in the second game of the WOAA Elite Championship. Tiverton leads the series, 1-0, and the round is out of three, so Tiverton could clinch the championship that day.

Wacky Hair Day at Tiverton Knox Sunday School

The first Sunday of every month is a special theme at Knox Presbyterian Church's Sunday School. Last month it was Wacky Hair Day, and April 5 it's going to be Yellow Day so wear everything yellow, from shirt to shorts to raincoat. KTTPS Talent Show is April 3 in the KDSS Gymnasium at 7 p.m. Come out and see the talent we have in this area. Tickets are $5 each or $20/family, available from members of the committee or at the door.

There is to be a judging school for field crops, roots and vegetables, in Walkerton May 2. Anyone interested in learning more about what the judges look for at the fair or in becoming a judge, please register with Dianne Todd at 519-368-7114 before April 2.

Team Alotta travelled to the Cargill Swingers Mud Ball tournament over the weekend. Kelly Brown said everyone had fun and the smartest and oldest members of the team, Donna Hendry, was the only one who showed up in her rubber boots!

The Old Diggers Hockey team donated two sets of sweaters - one home and one away - for the atom boys team.

The Tiverton Friendly Folk will hold a euchre party March 24 at 1:30 p.m. in the Lions Hall.
Tiverton Thunder clothing orders must be in no later than March 19. Call Heather at 519-368-7518 if you have any questions.

Any teenagers, aged 12 by March 31, 2009, who are interested in becoming soccer referees of seven-versus-seven teams or mini-soccer, please call Lisa Robertson-Taylor at 519-368-2427. There is a second course for age 14 to referee the 11 versus 11 group.

There will be a jamboree with Al Weatherall, Sunday, March 22, from 2-7 p.m. at the Underwood Community Centre. Musicians are welcome. Admission is $3 for the jamboree; $10 for the jamboree and a hot roast beef dinner. For more information, call 519-368-7076.
