Amber Hendry hands a spruce seedling to Jason Convay as part of the 'green' initiatives between the Tiverton Reunion committee and Ontario Power Generation I hope everyone made it to the Tiverton clock Saturday morning to pick up your spruce seedling as one of the 'green' initiatives of the Tiverton Reunion. If you haven't, contact Amber at 519-368-5365. This weekend is the Tiverton Old Boys and Girls Reunion's fund-raising spring dance, on Saturday, April 25, with music by Video Country 93, in the annex. If you want to contribute to the reunion in some way, contact Deb Cote at 519-368-6292. The Friendly Folk will hold a Euchre Party on April 27 at 1:30 p.m. in the Lions Hall. Kick off Sunday for the Campaign for the Food Grains Bank will be held on Sunday, May 3, at Knox Presbyterian Church, Tiverton. Guest speaker will be David Mayberry. Lunch will be served after the service and all are welcome. The Tiverton and District Lions 11th Annual Garage Sale will be held May 8-9 at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre Annex. Please set aside any unwanted items that are in good condition while doing your spring cleaning (no clothing please). Rental space is available; contact Gerda at 519-368-7792. The Tiverton and District Ratepayers Association will be holding a yard sale at 3 Maple St., Friday, May 1, from 6-9 p.m., and Saturday, May 2, 8 a.m. to noon. Communities in Bloom Planting Day in Tiverton is Saturday, June 6. As always we are in need of some new volunteers for the beds. Spread the word and come out to donate your time and get the village in Reunion shape! The Walk of Memories is in desperate need of volunteers. It is a gigantic space and has only a few hands to keep up. If you have an hour or a day or consistent time each week, give Laurie a call at 519-368-7980.
