Area Weather Takes Over |

We all wonder if those who plan for the future understand the weather in the Bruce. We know our Town Council understands it well, because they live here. How about those planning the future of health care and roads? Do they understand the winters? Just think of trying to get to a regional hospital in Owen Sound for the birth of a baby or some emergency. We have to be thankful for our local hospital and doctors. Let's be vigilant and make sure that planners don't look around our winters with mirrors. We all know what they are like. Hats off to the Town Staff for keeping the roads clear. We all appreciate it. They can't get rid of the wind, though and we love our wind, just don't make us drive down 21 in a whiteout. We've all had friends come here. We tell them about our whiteouts, but until you're in one, you really don't know what they are like. They can come up with no warning. The Police and OPP do a good job closing the roads and the weather reports are very good on TV and on the Saugeen Times. See Weather. Pay close attention to the forcasts.
