The Saugeen Times Introduces Two New Columnists

August 14, 2008

Saugeen Times is pleased to introduce two new columnists ... both motivational but in very different ways.

Melissa Macfarlane and Priscilla Yellowhead Tobey come from two unique backgrounds but each has much in common with the other, even though they have never met.

Melissa, who has lived in Australia and worked in fields such as advertising and executive training, has begun on a path of change working with her mother, Lynn Stevenson, in their new initiative Project Progress. Melissa's writing will centre around Goal Setting, Self-Awareness and the Universal Laws.

Priscilla, a First Nations motivational speaker, storyteller and writer, has travelled extensively and lived abroad, sharing and gathering the stories of her people. She will bring to our readers a unique perspective based on First Nations teachings that also centre around Self-Awareness and the Universal Laws as taught by the ancient elders of her culture.

These women live what they teach and are willing to share their experiences and knowledge with our readers. We know you will enjoy reading how their philosophies, even though culturally different, often carry a similar message.
