This Month starts off with ALL SAINTS' DAY. which is the 1st day of the month and also when the CLOCKS 'FALL BACK' At 2 am.

The 2nd sees ALL SOULS' DAY also the November Full Moon at the 14th hour and 14th minute named
'MOON WHEN RIVERS BEGIN TO FREEZE' by the CREE NATION. Hopefully not a bitter long Winter!
(This is the first in a series of Full Moon names I'm using for rest of 2009 and through October 2010 - previously referred to (by me) as 'The Full Beaver Moon).

Look out for the TAURID Meteor Shower on the 9th in late evening from the South, but only about 3 per hour from associated comet ENCKE.
But 10 per hour expected from the LEONID Shower on the 18/19 predawn originating in the South from Tempel-Tuttle Comet.

Weather Lore "A heavy snowfall will last till April"
"Thunder in November - a fertile year to come", and "Flowers in Bloom late Autumn indicate a bad Winter".

INDIAN SUMMER can be around SAINT MARTIN'S DAY (11th) until the 20th. Let's hope this happens,!
"If All Saints brings out Winter, St Martin's brings out Indian Summer"

Some say the term came from Native Americans who believed that the condition was caused by a warm wind, sent by their South-Western God CAUTANTOWIT.
