The Southampton Streetscape Committee held its annual plant and garden
sale Saturday morning at the The Boathouse in Southampton.
Gardners found not only unusual plants but also some old favourites such
as sedums. For those who like to thumb through garden magazines, they
were there by the stack along with handcrafted garden aprons. Pots and
containers and wrought iron garden elements rounded out the inventory
for gardeners who began appearing a half hour before opening.
All plants and items were donated and the sale is organized completely
with volunteer help. Proceeds go toward the beautification of downtown
Southampton. (next column)
