Sewer expansion open to public input until Oct. 22

The Town of Saugeen Shores recently sent out an information notice to all Southampton property owners regarding the proposed sanitary sewer expansion north of the Saugeen River in Southampton, Saugeen Shores.

The notice sets out the basic background of the proposed project to install an entire new sewer system throughout north Southampton that includes crossing the Saugeen River.

The recent Notice of Completion was dated September 22 and begins the 30-day waiting/review period. Written concerns and/or comments may then be submitted to the Town within the 30 days.

Any concerns that cannot be resolved with the Town can then be submitted to the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) prior to October 22nd. If there are no requests by Oct. 22, the project can then proceed to final design and construction subject to Town Council approval.
