Sewer Engineering Contracts Awarded for the North Shore

Two contracts were officially awarded at Saugeen Shores Council meeting Monday night, August 10th.

Gamsby and Mannerow Ltd. were given the contract for engineering services regarding the Southampton sanitary sewer expansion north of the Saugeen River, The company was awarded the contract of $260,000 for the design, plans, specifications and tender documents for the sanitary sewer, forceman, watermain, storm and roads.

Genivar (Global engineering firm, Canadian based) was also awarded the contract in the amount of $161,000 for the design, plans, specifications and tender documents for the two sanitary sewer pump stations that are also part of the overall project.

It is expected that once the work by the two companies is complete, the Town will have a firm number on the actual costs of the entire project.
