The Southampton Residents' Association is going through some changes.

At its Annual General Meeting held Saturday, July 25th, at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre, President Rod McLeod and Secretary, Dale Robinette, stepped down.  McLeod, who was on the board for a number of years, held the position of President since 2003 and Robinette as secretary for ten years. McLeod will serve one more year as past president

Newly elected President, Ken Robertson, said that he was very humbled at being chosen.  "The fact is, Rod has been such a big part of the Beachers' and Residents' Associations in Southampton," says Robertson.  "As a result of his efforts all residents have a better quality of life and community spirit. As past-President, I am looking forward to his guidance during my initial phase in the position of President."

Robertson added that the Association is going to continue to use McLeod's leadership example and that they hope to maintain his vision for Southampton.

 outgoing President, McLeod expressed the entire Board's appreciation to Dale Robinette.  "We want to thank Dale for her ten years of service both as an active member of the Board and as Secretary on the Executive. She has made a significant and excellent contribution to the Association.  She will be missed."
