Anyone who does not believe that the arts are an important component in education, should attend a school art exhibit.

This past week, Saugeen District Secondary School (SDSS), held an art exhibit where the art students of instructor Deborah Barrett had the opportunity to display their creativity and talent.

Barrett, herself an artist, says that, "It's amazing to see students who think they are not creative begin to change. Their self-esteem and confidence blossoms as they begin to express themselves through art. Many will go on to pursue a career in some form of the
arts."
