Rotary donates to playground in Jubilee Park

Service Clubs

The new accessible playground at Jubilee Park in Southampton is a step closer to reaching its fundraising goal after a recent donation from local Rotary Clubs.

The Southampton and Port Elgin Rotary Clubs joined forces to contribute $25,000 each for a total of $50,000 that leaves only $76,000 to be raised.

The playground is expected to begin construction in the spring and will enable integrated play for people of all ages and ability.

Although it was decided at the outset that the largest donors would have 'naming rights', the decision will be made by Council when the fundraising goal has been reached.
