By sponsoring a team, donating to a team members or volunteering your time you will be acknowledging and paying tribute to someone who has cancer or someone who is helping someone who is fighting cancer. By supporting the Saugeen Shores Relay For Life, you help us fund leading-edge research on all types of cancer, provide information about cancer care and treatment, offer support to those living with cancer, prevent cancer through healthy lifestyle and risk reduction strategies and you help us advocate for public policies that prevent cancer and help those living with it. HOW:
Students that are participating on a Relay For Life team can get a maximum of 12 volunteer hours if they get at least a $100 worth of pledges and complete the 12 hour relay. Their volunteer hour sheet must be signed by Relay For Life Event Chairs Nancy MacLeod, Rona Cobean, Trish Bernard or Brenda Yourth, Community Education Coordinator - Saugeen District Secondary School when Saugeen Shores Relay for Life is completed. WHO: This is great news for all high school students with outstanding
community hours that they need to complete, and for families registering
a team for the Saugeen Shores Relay For Life event. Please Note: At least one member of any Relay For Life team must be over 21 years of age in order for a team to be eligible to register a team of 8 – 10 people for this event.
