Big Weekend(continued)

In spite of the rain, the folks from Tiverton had a good fair and great dance, and the Pumpkinfest giant pumpkin was 1,678 pounds. That's a lot of pumpkin pies!

Sympathy is extended to the Pollock families on the loss of Ralph Pollock whose funeral was on Monday, and to Kathy and Allan Mackay and family on the loss of her mother, Ann Hynds. The community showed its support on Sunday.

Shirley and Ray Gilders of Clinton, and Mary Anne Kukoly visited with Annetta and Bill Robinson on Sunday. Shirley and Ray also visited with Maureen and Roy Collins of Lucknow.

Mary Anne was pleased to attend two bridal showers on the weekend - Saturday for Daniel Kropf and Daniella Tufegdich at his parents' home on the B-Line; and Sunday, a relative and friends shower for Tarrin Colwell at the Ripley-Huron Complex.

Glad to have Heather and Dan Newman and family living in the Pine River community.

Visiting with Jim and Fran Farrell on Saturday were Joe and Irene West and Brian and Deb Baer of Stratford. Jim and Fran visited with Joyce and John Farrell on Friday evening and with Roger and Wendy Smith on Sunday evening.

Remember ladies our WI meeting is Wednesday evening at the Grove with Anne McInnes as guest speaker. Everyone is welcome.
