On Monday last week, seven ladies had a busy day sewing crazy patch vests and jackets at the community centre with Ann Finlayson as instructor. We hope to finish them this week.

Also on Monday, Ripley-Huron Community School took the Grades 7 and 8 students to the Royal Winter Fair. Attending and participating in the Royal Junior Classic Dairy Show this year were Eric and Daniel Martin as part of the Bruce County Team.
Congratulations to all the participants for the many events and livestock shows.

Tuesday evening, St. Andrews UCW Unit 3 met at the home of Peg Taylor. Marg MacDonald gave an interesting talk on the Ripley Ravens Care group from Ripley-Huron Community School and the organization, 'Free the Children.'

It was a beautiful day for the cenotaph service on Nov. 11, Remembrance Day, and well-attended.

Jim and Fran and Glen Farrell attended the baptism of grandson/nephew Tyson VandeSype on Sunday in Guelph.
 


The Christmas house tour was enjoyed by more than 300 people on Sunday. Thanks to the folks for the use of their homes and to the businesses that did all the work. It was beautiful.

Margaret Reid and her Reid families, along with Linda and Jack Campbell and Mary Anne Kukoly, attended the wedding of Tarrin Colwell and Evan Poll in Wingham on Saturday. Anne and Mac MacInnes also attended. After staying the night with Joyce and John Farrell on Sunday, Mary Anne visited with Nina MacDonald/Bushell in Lucknow.

Doug and Andrew MacDonald took James, Alex and Erik to the Royal Winter Fair last week.

Largaret McInnes holidayed with Brian and Nancy King last week and also visited with Annetta Matchoschi.

Patrick and Crista Glazier welcome the arrival of a new baby daughter. Sierria is a grandchild for Ron and Ruth Dore and sister for Serena.

Don't forget the Purple Grove directors meeting at Purple Grove on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
