Propeller Club Holds Packed Pot Luck Dinner in the Boat House

The Propeller Club held its annual pot-luck supper on Wednesday night at The Boat House in Southampton.

The event was filled to capacity with old and new members of the organization and it is also an opportunity for people to join.

Several dignitaries also attended this year's function, including Mayor Mike Smith and Bruce County Museum Director, Barb Ribey, Councilors Thead Seaman and Diane Huber and Director of Community Services, Mike Myatt.

As is the custom, immediate Past Chairman of the Marine Heritage Society and present Propeller Club head, Gordon Webb, presented the Honourary Lifetime Awards.  This year, there were two recipients - Joan Rigby, Coordinator of the Chantry Island Tour Guide program and Doug Johnson, the group's Historian and Caretaker of Flags.   Past winners were Robert (Bob) Trelford, Mike Sterling and Bruce Chapman, three of the founding members of the organization.
