Boat House is Packed |

One of the highlights of the kickoff of the Marine Heritage and Propeller Club year is the annual Pot Luck dinner in the Boat House in Southampton. Everyone looks forward to this because of the huge amount of food and drink and the variety of it. The Boat House accommodates a large crowd of up to 200 for this event. Everyone likes the ambiance of the Boat House with its nautical themes and many displays. This year as before the tables contained decorated abandoned propellers which are often painted with the Chantry Island Light on them. The walls were covered with pictures of various projects that the group has taken on in the past. This year may have been the biggest crowd ever and the place was packed. Food, Beer and Wine were served by the usual volunteers and everyone enjoyed the evening. Many of the Town Staff and the Council come to this event. It's developed quite a reputation. 20/05/2009 07:50 PM |
Volunteer Extraordinaire Joe Sholtes sets the table and Cindy Cartwright is first in line. The Organizers wish to thank all the volunteers and those who bring the food, which means most everyone. The cuisine is like the United Nations of food and a better meal during the year cannot be had. |
