The monthly meeting of the Saugeen Probus Club last Tuesday inducted two new members Dan Rugherford and Stuart Snider. The `Who am I' speaker was Ian Wheeler, who gave a brief interesting resume of himself.

A list was presented to the club by the nominating committee naming the slate of officers and directors for the up coming year. The vote will be conducted at the annual general meeting on September 1st.,


The guest speaker was Joanne Robbins of the local Chamber of Commerce. Her presentation dealt with the many activities, responsibilities and accomplishments achieved by the Chamber. She also mentioned the possibility of a small cruise ship visiting Port Elgin soon, however, details of this were still in process.

Activities planned for the near future include a bus trip to see the vintage aircraft museum in Hamilton October 21st. and a golf tournament to be held Tuesday Sept 22nd.

Several members of the club are meeting with the Bruce County Museum staff to formulate a plan to have all the Saugeen Shores Probus Club records maintained on file at this location.

Ron Mulchey, was acting chairperson for the meeting.
