Power Workers' Union donates $10,000 to the Accessible Playground Project

The Power Workers' Union Equity Committee has again stepped up to the plate. The organization donated $10,000 to the Accessible Playground project at Monday night's Town Council meeting in Saugeen Shores. The volunteer Accessible Committee was appointed by Council to address accessibility issues, include looking at new building plans to determine accessibility, existing building for modifications that may be required and now at the possiblity of constructing a new andintegrated playground with specialized equipment for autistic, blind and wheelchair bound kidsand their caregivers who take them on outings.The projected cost is from $120,000 to $250,000 and corporate and individual donations arebeing sought.
