It was tea and scones and petit fours at an old-fashioned garden party in Southampton.

The event was a fundraiser as a precursor to the 'Pretty in Pink' cancer fundraising gala that is to be held in October at the CAW in Port Elgin, Saugeen Shores.

Held at the home of Anne Hawton on Eckford Drive, visitors strolled through the multi-level garden that features among things, two water features, a footbridge and a labyrinth.

Sylvia Sheard, Chairperson of the Pretty in Pink event, said that she was delighted that Houghton had offered her beautiful yard for the garden party.
