The faces may be creased and the hair has turned grey, but their memories are the memories of the young men and women who, when called, went to war.

On Sunday, November 2nd, they came from across Bruce and Grey Counties to take part in the Bruce County Museum's tribute to them.  They wore their regimental ties and their chests were adorned with hard-earned medals.

The vocal ensemble, Cricket, entertained with a variety of songs ranging from In Flanders Fields and Danny Boy to Vive La Canadienne and the Boogie Woogie Bulgle Boy of Company B.

The Museum also presented the 'Veterans Remember' video, a compilation of interviews with veterans, many of whom were in the audience.  As they watched, it was apparent that their memories were still vivid.  Laughter rang out at times, while tears flowed at others.

It's a new century and, but for these men and women of a bygone era whose numbers are fading, life may have turned out very differently for the world.
