Bruce County Museum gets Fresnel Lens |

One of the most beautiful of the products of the 19th Century was the Fresnel Lens invented by the French Physicist August Fresnel. The Museum will put on exhibit soon the lens from the Cape Croker Lighthouse courtesy of the Nawash Unceded First Nations at Cape Croker and the Canadian Coast Guard. It will be a beautiful addition to the excellent Marine Gallery collection and will become a major feature around which other exhibits will flourish. The power of the lens is fantastic and they are very beautiful. A few examples are shown.
