Family Day at Bruce County Museum attracted these visitors from Hepworth.
(L) Lucas, Travis and Cassidy Perkins convinced their grandmother, Betty, to try snowshoeing.

This young, blended family took advantage of the warm sun to enjoy the afternoon along Southampton beach, ending up at the playground beside Gerry's Fries.

Raina and Maia Watson and Andrew Shular clambered over the playground equipment in the bright sunshine while dad, Gord Shular, practised his golf swing with a tree branch. Louise (Saddington) kept control over the family pet, Trevor, and discouraged the kids from going out on the ice.

"We've seen people out on the ice along the shore," said Louise. "They must not be from here or they would never do that, especially with this warm weather."

The Bolton family took advantage of an unusual happening ... an outdoor skating rink.
The field, recently flooded by unseasonably warm temperatures, froze to create the perfect ice-skating surface.

"It's fantastic," said dad, Paul Bolton. "We have the perfect rink and didn't have to do a thing!"
