Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre's GO GREEN MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

Membership campaign offers members an opportunity to win a promotional prize of home energy assessment conducted by the Elora Centre for Excellence. Note: An initial energy assessment is valued at $350 for a home under 2,999 square feet.

This membership campaign follows the theme of the Museum's newly created environmental exhibit, Earth's Climate in the Balance - an exhibit on the history and its impact of climate change on the environment.

During the months of June, July and August 2008, each new Museum membership purchase or renewal will automatically be entered into a draw for a chance to win a ecoEnergy visit for a ecoEnergy Retrofit audit courtesy of the Elora Centre for Environmental Excellence.

Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre is pleased to partner with the Elora Centre for Environmental Excellence to help our members and Bruce County go green!!

Background on the ECEE's ecoEnergy Retrofit Program offer:

REEP is a program of the Elora Centre for Environmental Excellence (ECEE), a not-for-profit environmental organization that has been conducting energy audits through the EnerGuide for Houses and ecoENERGY Retrofit programs 1998.

(continued)

ECEE is able to give an unbiased, objective, practical advice that will help homeowners identify the areas in their home where energy is being wasted, pinpoint what opportunities for upgrades exist, and ultimately reduce your energy costs.

This is an opportunity to talk with an expert whose only job is to find the best options for improving the energy efficiency of YOUR home. The initial energy assessment is valued at $350 for a home under 2,999 square feet. (Note: Surcharges apply for homes over 2,999 square feet. Follow-up visits cost $150 (all inclusive). The Province of Ontario just announced they will be matching the Federal grants! They are also offering a rebate of $150 to anyone who has a pre-retrofit assessment on their house.
