Medical
clinic addition, new homes boost building figures in Kincardine |
|
At first glance, construction is booming in Kincardine. However, there were fewer building permits issued in June, compared to May, and fewer overall compared to 2008. The construction value jumped in June because of the $2.6-million permit issued for the Kincardine Community Medical Clinic addition. Besides that, the only major construction included five permits issued for single homes, with a total value of $1.43 million. In June, 28 permits were issued, with a total value of $4.7 million, compared to 35 permits with a value of $5.86 million in 2008. In May, 31 permits were issued for a total value of $2.58 million, compared to 47 permits valued at $2.98 million in 2008. |
