Marilyn Meldrum (L) and Ken Wilkinson (R) present a life membership in Lions Clubs International to Larry Bannerman

The Kincardine and District Lions Club marked the 35th anniversary of the club’s charter, with a celebration Saturday, June 13.

The club was chartered on June 14, 1974, and sponsored by the Tiverton and District Lions Club.

One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of a life membership in Lions Clubs International, to Charter Lion Larry Bannerman. Tiverton Lion Marilyn Meldrum (widow of Charter Lion Ray Meldrum) and Charter Member Ken Wilkinson, who now resides in Corunna, made the presentation.

Lion President Ross Thompson was the lucky winner of the door prize – an all-inclusive trip for two to Cuba.
Several past members and Tiverton members joined with the current Kincardine members and spouses for an evening of reminiscing and fellowship.
