The Port Elgin Legion held a special cheque presentation Tuesday night.

The organization presented more than $14,000 to five different organizations throughout Bruce Grey.

The Port Elgin Library new addition fund received $1,000; The Southampton Memorial Hospital (Grey-Bruce Regional Health Centre) received $3,500 with another $3,000 from the Public Trust Fund for the Vital Signs Monitor; Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre Owen Sound $3,000 with an additional $2,000 for the Echo cardiogram, again from the Public Trust Fund; Women's Centre Grey Bruce received $500 for the new alarm system's flashing light unit for the hearing impaired and the Canadian Cancer Society, Bluewater District received $1,384.
