The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 183, Kincardine held its annual public speaking contest March 14 in the Legion Hall, with fewer participants than have attended in the past.
The winners from each level then competed in the Zone C-1 contest at Branch 167, Exeter, on Saturday, March 21. Sean Castillo of St. Anthony's School, Kincardine, took second place in the Grades 4-6 category.
Congratulations to the students who participated this year. According to branch representatives, "The Legion looks forward to your participation in next year's contest."
