The cost for Kincardine council remuneration and for the
Bruce Telecom board totals $301,532.02 for 2008, according to
the report by Kincardine treasurer Brenda French.
As expected, mayor Larry Kraemer received the highest pay at
$40,637.17, which includes $27,977.76 in salary, $1,380 in per
diem, and $4,249.87 in expenses; also for serving on the phone
company board, $4,250 in per diem, and $2,779.54 in expenses.
Deputy mayor Laura Haight received a total of $24,337.53,
including $20,277.50 in salary, $1,600 in per diem, and
$2,460.03.
Councillor Guy Anderson (Ward 1) was paid $22,956.21, including
$16,427.37 in salary, $3,560 in per diem, and $2,968.84 in
expenses.
Councillor Gordon Campbell (Ward 2) received $18,772.15, which
includes $16,427.37 in salary, $720 in per diem, $528.28 in
expenses; also for serving as a director on the Saugeen Valley
Conservation Authority, $750 in per diem and $346.50 in
expenses.
Councillor Kenneth Craig received $20,729.70, including
$16,427.37 in salary, $1,400 in per diem, and $2,902.33 in
expenses.
Councillor Ron Hewitt was paid $25,281.72, which includes
$16,427.37 in salary, $1,680 in per diem, $3,184.50 in expenses;
also for serving as a director on the Saugeen Valley
Conservation Authority, $1,905 in per diem, $2,084.85 in
expenses.
Councillor Marsha Leggett was paid $20,223.33, including
$16,427.37 in salary, $1,240 in per diem, $938 in expenses; and
for serving on the police services board, $1,617.96 in salary.
Councillor Mike Leggett (Ward 1) received $22,461.93, which
includes $16,427.37 in salary, $320 in per diem, $71.35 in
expenses; for serving on the Paisley fire board, $52.86 in
expenses; and for serving as a Kincardine firefighter, $3,755.68
in salary, $1,736.80 in per diem, $97.87 in expenses.
Councillor Randy Roppel (Ward 3) was paid $20,817.89, including
$16,427.37 in salary, $1,380 in per diem, $3,010.52 in expenses;
he receives no remuneration for serving on the Bruce Area Solid
Waste Recycling board, as per a board resolution. (next column)

in expenses from the municipality;
