Kincardine council has approved a list of road closures for the
Kincardine Scottish Festival, Cruise Night and the BIA Calypso Day.
These closures have been altered from past years due to the Huron
Terrace bridge construction and to maximize access by local
emergency services.
There are events which require both Queen Street and Durham Market
North to be blocked. At those times, an OPP cruiser will be parked
in front of the arts centre with a fire department radio. This will
allow the OPP to be aware of fire calls and inform the crowd of
approaching emergency vehicles. The fire department will also deploy
some of its fleet on the north side of town ensuring close coverage
for all. (next column)

Volunteers for each event will continue to assist in manning barricades
and ensuring emergency vehicles receive any access they need and at
least one volunteer will have access to the fire department radio as
well.
Anytime Queen Street is closed, parking will not be allowed along
Princes Street in order to ensure emergency vehicles can safely respond
to calls.
