Irish Night celebrated at Glammis Baptist Church

Connor Stewart, 19, dives right into the pie-eating contest and ends up the winner

It was a night to be wearing a bit o' the green and celebrating everything Irish at Glammis Baptist Church Saturday night.

Following the meal, which included a 'sparkling' green beverage, eight brave souls joined in the pie-eating contest to see who could devour a cream pie in just under two minutes. The winner was 19-year-old Connor Stewart. Other games included one with balloons and fake snakes, the Price is Right, and a potato-peeling contest.

The church has been hosting Irish Night for about 10 years. The event was cancelled last year because of bad weather.
