Hydro One power outage planned

Hydro One is conducting a planned power outage in the Kincardine area from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 17 and 18, and Oct. 24 and 25. The affected areas include part of Huron Township and Ashfield Township and the bottom part of Kincardine Township.

At the general committee meeting last night (Oct. 5), Huron-Kinloss council was told that the company is installing more than 50 poles and moving about 50 other poles along Highway 21, and replacing 11 kilometres of older conductor with new, stronger, more robust wire which is less susceptible to weather damage and can carry heavier electrical loads.
