Happy Birthday Port Elgin Library

Just like the postal service, neither rain, nor sleet nor hail can deter the Friends of the Library.

Despite the Port Elgin library being closed for major renovations, and despite rainy weather, members met on the sidewalk in front of the historic Carnegie building, constructed in 1908,  to honour and celebrate its 100th birthday.

Everyone who stopped got a piece of cake and was invited to sign a special birthday card featuring the artwork of local artist Linda Doran.
