Bruce County’s Past Comes To Life October 23rd –
Popular Ghost Walks of Bruce County Are Back!
Too often history is presented in dry and lifeless presentations – not so at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre!

Meet spirits from Bruce County’s past at the second annual Ghost Walks of Bruce County on Friday, October 23rd with two tours at 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm. This ghostly entertainment is a fun way to bring Bruce County history to life for the entire family. BDO Dunwoody LLP, Port Elgin is sponsor of these popular ghost walks.

Cost: Museum members are $5.00 and Non-members $10.00.

Volunteers and performers from Saugeen Shores will work with Bruce County Archives Staff and area scriptwriters Larry and Julie Cardiff to create ghostly encounters that incorporate the stories and people behind the history of the County. These performances will offer audiences an opportunity to meet fascinating Bruce County characters and hear the stories that lie within the Bruce County Archive’s “stacks”(storage area). All will come alive for one night only. The tour will be both outside the Museum and inside it’s galleries.

The Bruce County Museum is home to the County of Bruce Archives where personal diaries, newspaper articles, County documents, and letters from “the people of the Bruce’ are not only collected, but preserved for future generations. These tours are a fun way to showcase and promote the archives and Bruce County’s stories behind its history. For more information on these tours call 519 797-2080 or visit www.brucemuseum.ca
