The Ontario Construction Company Limited of Niagara-on-the-Lake has been hired to do the Jardine Creek rehabilitation project, at a cost of $57,619.80.
Huron-Kinloss council was told that the tenders were opened Monday (Sept. 21), and Ontario Construction was the lowest of three bids. The others were VanDriel Excavating Inc. at $59,041.86, and Bomar Landscaping Inc. at $85,075.20.

A report from the municipal engineer, B.M. Ross and Associates, said the lowest tender is acceptable contractually and the company is well-experienced. Approvals from the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority are in place, so the work can start when the contract has been signed between the township and the company.
