Find old Kincardine Newspapers

August 2, 2008

Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre's Archivist and staff are looking for old copies of Kincardine newspapers to be viewed and dropped off at Reunion headquarters this weekend.

Developed in partnership with the Kincardine Centre for the Arts committee and the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre in Southampton, the Scougall Gallery captures the life and beauty of the small port town in the early 1900s through the eyes of John Harnage Scougall.

The public is asked to bring their old newspapers to the Scougall Gallery in Kincardine for the Archivist and her staff to view and collect. The gallery is Reunion headquarters this weekend for the Kincardine Old Boys and Girls Reunion.

The Archives has an inventory of Kincardine newspapers presently in its collection. Information can be viewed at Finding Aids, Bruce County Museum

Bruce County Archives is missing Kincardine newspapers for their archives and wishes to have newspapers collected for donation to the Bruce County Archives.

These newspapers will be microfilmed for future generations use. Please bring them in to the Scougall Gallery  707 Queen Street, Kincardine

Bruce County Archives is located in the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre at 33 Victoria Street North, Southampton under the care of Archivist Anne Marie Collins.
