presents a cheque for $50,000 to Kincardine mayor Larry Kraemer
Enbridge Ontario Wind Farm has donated $50,000 toward community grants
for this year, as disbursed by the Municipality of Kincardine.
The following groups have received funding through this grant program:
- Kincardine Agricultural Society, $1,000, to promote improvements
and advance the standards of agriculture
- Chantry Chinook Classic Salmon Derby, $2,000, for stocking
rainbow and brown trout, stream and habitat improvement, education
- Paddy Walker Heritage Society, $2,500, restoration of oldest
building in Kincardine as a museum

- Kincardine Yacht Club, $2,500, to fund a student for the
lighthouse
- Bluewater Summer Playhouse, $3,600, to promote tourism through
production of summer theatre
- Kincardine Dog Owners Group, $1,700, for fencing and signage for
off-leash dog park (project not established by council)
- Kincardine Canada Day committee, $1,200, to promote Canada Day
with events for all ages
- Kincardine Fish Derby, $2,000, for fish re-stocking and
conservation efforts
- Royal Canadian Legion, $2,000, to maintain the structure of the
building
- Kincardine Lions Club, $5,000, toward the playground at the
Davidson Centre
- Tverton Lions Club, $1,000, for new mural in Tiverton
- Kincardine Minor Soccer Club, $5,550, for construction of
washrooms, storage and concession facility at soccer complex
- Bervie Women's Institute, $2,000, for siding and insulation of
community hall
- Kin Artisan Festival organization committee, $2,500, to
establish annual arts festival
- Bruce Township Historical Society, $1,500, to preserve and
record history in the area
- Tiverton Agricultural Society, $250, for the Tiverton Fall Fair
- Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games, $2,500, to
showcase Kincardine's cultural heritage
- Kincardine Chamber of Commerce, $200, for Santa Claus Parade
- Parkinson Society Canada, $1,000, to make a positive difference
in the lives of those affected by Parkinson's
- Bruce County Plowmen's Association, $1,500, to promote
agriculture and develop youth leaders in the community
- Community Living of Kincardine and District, $5,000, for standby
generator for a residential setting
- Kincardine District Secondary School, $2,500, to implement a
program for female students
*Inverhuron Bike Park, $1,000, to support youth and healthy
lifestyle
