Drop-off zone set for Community Living building
By Liz Dadson

Town Council Kincardine

(continued)

Kincardine council has agreed to amend the traffic and parking bylaw to permit a loading zone in front of 286 Lambton St., Kincardine, in front of the Kincardine Community Living building, as a safe drop-off and pick-up area for clients, Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This was in response to a request from Community Living to designate one of the parking spaces in front of the building for the loading zone. The agency's clients have social activities and employment, resulting in pick-up and drop-off at various times of the day for the 25-40 clients. The clients have different disabilities, some requiring wheelchairs, while others have limited walking abilities, making it difficult for them to cross the street or walk from a distance.
