(L) Port Elgin Rotary President, Erin Zorzi and Southampton Rotary President, Henry Weickert make draw as Eugenie Forsythe listens

The exquisitely, handcrafted Victorian dollhouse complete to the last detail including full furnishings has been won!

The dollhouse was donated by David Plowright of Kincardine, who before having a stroke four years ago, painstakingly ensured every detail was historically correct.

The house was put on display at Meridian Credit Union in Port Elgin, Saugeen Shores as a fundraiser for Eugenie Forsythe of Southampton. Forsythe was born with cerebral palsy and experiences seizures but has shown remarkable progress since she began attending an ability camp in Picton, Ontario.

At Ability Camp, Forsyth undergoes Conductive Education (CE) sessions. Both she and her mother, Angela Richard, must attend the camp together and, because it is not covered under the government medical plan, they must fundraise in order to attend.

Hundreds of ballots were received for the draw which was based solely on a 'donation' basis and the winning ballot was drawn by Southampton Rotary President, Henry Weickert as Port Elgin Rotary President, Erin Zorzi assisted.

The name of the winner will be revealed as soon as she has been contacted, but it is known that she has two little girls. "I am just thrilled this beautiful creation is going to a home where I know it will be appreciated and loved," said Angela Forsythe
