 SWEET & SAVOURY

Chocolate fanatics and food aficionados from across Bruce County are licking their lips as they anticipate attending this sweet special event at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre. The 3rd annual Chocolate Gala is being held on Saturday, June 6th from 8 pm. to 12 midnight in Southampton.

The chocolate fountain is booked – As last year we went though 30 lbs. of liquid chocolate courtesy of Mill Creek Chocolates.

Several area businesses have signed on since a media alert went out for the 3rd Annual Chocolate Gala

EVENT DETAILS:

Planned for the Chocolate Gala is the Bruce County Chocolate Producers Showcase with of course FREE samples from area producers and retailers of savoury appetizers and chocolate. Some retailers are expected to have some product available for cash sales.

Not forgotten are FREE desserts to be selected at the Cocoa Bean Dessert Bar with a wide variety of sweets, cakes and chocolate delights from area chefs, restaurant owners, bakers and caterers.

A true “Chocolate Bar” will feature 3 chocolate-based cocktails – and yes-chocolate martinis are included in the selections of drinks offered at this cash bar. Coffin Ridge Boutique Winery’s wines will also be featured at the cash bar.

Chocolate lovers can also cap the night off with the Museum’s very own specialty coffee, hot chocolate and café mocha and yes there will be lots and lots of whip cream courtesy of Gay Lea Dairy Cooperative of Teeswater, ON

Entertainment will be provided by the sweet sounds of “Trio con Brio” with members from Tara, Kincardine and Owen Sound, Ontario
