Chippewa raises funds for charities

Geza Kocsis

Geza Kocsis, owner of Chippewa Golf & County Club in Southampton, is always thinking up new fundraising ideas for one of his favourite charities ... the Women's House of Bruce Grey.

On Saturday, August 8th, he invited couples at the 'Pairs Invitational' members' tournament to a 'Beat the Owner' on a par 3 hole. All proceeds were to go to the Women's House of Bruce with Chippewa Golf Club matching the amount raised.

"I made a commitment at the beginning of the year," said Kocsis, "that this would be a charity of choice for Chippewa."

The event, that saw 18 couples play, raised more than $300 for the Women's House.
