Chantry Island at Dusk Cross Stitch The 10,000th tour visitor to Chantry Island was awarded a special gift on Wednesday August 13 at 2 pm. The very special visitor is Arlene Cook of Southampton. Arlene was awarded a work of art created by Jeanne Shantz. It is a special cross stitch that took Jeanne 277+ hours to create and uses 48 different colours. Since Arlene does cross stitch herself, she was doubly impressed by its beauty and detail. The award was presented on August 13, 2008 at the Tour Base in Southampton. |
