Buy a Brick

Heritage

(continued)

Library patrons in Saugeen Shores have been buying commemorative bricks in support of the Friends of the Library.

The bricks are from the original walls of the Port Elgin Carnegie library building which date back to 1908. Each brick, in fact, bears a plaque listing the dates 1908 - 2008 in commemoration of the buildings 100th birthday and each piece of history is $100 (per brick) until they are gone.
