Sunday Afternoon "Candlelight Music" Series Returns To The Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre!

Enthusiasts of live music can rejoice with the return of the much-anticipated "Candlelight Music Series" Sunday afternoons to The Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre's Bruce Power Theatre beginning November 9, 2008.  The Series is a presentation of local musicians and bands during the months of November and December.

Admission to all performances is by donation and the concerts begin at 2:00 p.m. each Sunday in the Museum's own 116-seat Bruce Power Theatre. Admission is by donation. This musical series is sponsored by Ontario Power Generation.

"ON Q"

Men's a cappella quartet:  The close harmony style of 'On Q" is carried throughout their repertoire as they perform many styles of music from gospel to barbershop and contemporary country to folk songs. A joy to see and listen to!

Waterside

Waterside is famous for songs and music about Canadian history, logging in Ontario and great lakes marine history, as well as a repertoire of Celtic tunes. The group strives for entertaining vocal harmonies supported by the following musical instruments: guitar, mandolin, Irish tenor banjo, Irish bouzouki, tin whistle, bass and bodhran.

Bruce Peninsula Spirit Singers

A community choir from Lion's Head, their repertoire includes everything from Broadway tunes, Canadian folk songs, sacred music, and songs written specifically for the choir. The Spirit Singers have performed in Cornwall England three times, with the most recent visit in 2007.

Jazz & Classical Magic! - Paul Danard & Ian Burbidge

Rob Ritchie is best known as the piano player for Tanglefoot, (2007 Canadian Folk Music Award Winner - Best Vocal Group), having recently returned to the group after a five-year hiatus.
